Today there are two separate articles in two separate publications discussing the overfishing crisis that has besieged our oceans. This piece from the LA Times talks about the steep decline in three quarters of the fish around Hawaii’s coral reef. This article from The Guardian highlights that the underreporting of catches around the globe is putting more pressure on the fish population than ever. Scientists now believe that if something drastic doesn’t change with regards to our fishing habits that the oceans will collapse by 2048. Don’t believe me?
